Welcome to the UTSA Department of Music. We’re accomplishing great things and have much to be proud of. Our Lyric Theatre has been playing to full houses at our Buena Vista Theatre and other locations in the city; our ensembles maintain a full schedule of performances; our music marketing students are enjoying applied projects in recording and marketing; and our music education students are experiencing super placements in area schools.
Our student successes on campus are being noticed by alumni and friends of music. Interest is growing in supporting our students through scholarships and travel grants. To raise community interest in our program, our students are providing concerts in the home in various locations throughout the city. These concerts increase awareness of our programs and add to our scholarship base.
UTSA has a strong music faculty. We are artists, composers and scholars and we are dedicated to fostering the next generation of musicians, scholars, and entrepreneurs. Take a moment to hear our faculty and students on this site.
